Intro to "Success"

We needed to pick a word and write an essay explaining what our definition of the word was. I chose to define the word “Success”. I chose this topic because my definition of what success really means to me is often different from what most people would define it as. I like to write essays on a topic that I am passionate about, and this was another example of that. This piece shows my ability to write effectively because of the structure, organization, and flow of the essay. I used strong topic sentences and good personal examples. I also had a strong thesis: “Success is achieving a goal or a set of goals established by oneself and as a result experiencing happiness and a sense of accomplishment”. My overall organization of this essay improved from the first. I still had some comma issues, but was beginning to understand the reasoning behind my mistakes. Take a look…
